Just In: Cincinnati Bearcats Yet Again Receive A Huge News

On Thursday, the University of Cincinnati Athletics announced a partnership with Lava.ai, a leading provider of fan engagement and data activation solutions, to improve the fan engagement and customer service experience for season ticket members and all Bearcat supporters.

As part of this collaboration, UC will test LAVA’s innovative applications during the last men’s basketball home game, with plans for a full rollout in Fall 2025 for Bearcats football. Over the next two weeks, season ticket members can expect emails containing exclusive customer service offers and exciting new benefits.

LAVA’s platform allows athletic departments to engage with various fan segments—season ticket holders, single-game buyers, alumni, donors, and students—through digital rewards and personalized experiences. With LAVA’s integrated platform, Cincinnati aims to enhance both in-person and digital fan interactions.

“We continuously strive to enhance the fan experience, and LAVA will assist us in achieving that,” stated Anthony Di Fino, Cincinnati’s Deputy Athletic Director for External Relations and Chief Revenue Officer. “The landscape of college athletics is changing rapidly, but we must remain focused on providing our fans with the attention they deserve, especially during gamedays on campus. Partnering with LAVA will enable us to innovate in a critical area as fan engagement and viewing habits evolve. Our fans rightly expect a world-class and unforgettable experience, and this partnership will help us fulfill those expectations.”

More than 50 professional sports franchises, including NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLS teams, as well as related venues, currently utilize LAVA’s platform to drive revenue and add value for sponsors and partners. The University of Cincinnati is LAVA’s first collegiate partner.

“We’re excited to collaborate with the forward-thinking Cincinnati Athletics team to bring a professional-level fan engagement experience to college sports,” said Dave Landa, LAVA’s Chief Business Officer. “College fans are just as passionate and unique as professional fans, if not more so, and they deserve the same level of personalized, real-time interaction.”
