JUST IN: Canadiens 28-years old brilliant star is keen on returning to action this season

The Canadiens are currently traveling in Western Canada for a five-game road trip. Following two games in Alberta, they are set to face the Canucks tonight.

The game is scheduled to be aired at 10 p.m. tonight, according to Quebec time.

In preparation for the game, the Canadiens will be hosting an optional training session at 2:30 p.m. Quebec time. I’m excited to hear an assistant coach discuss the lineup decisions, including the choice of goaltender and players on the ice.

We can anticipate Tanner Pearson stepping in for Joshua Roy, who is undergoing testing back in Montreal after sustaining a hand injury from blocking a shot during yesterday’s practice. Injuries like that surely leave a mark.

It’s uncertain how long the Quebec native will be out, and Jean-François Houle must be pondering the same question.

Will there be any other lineup changes? Could we see the return of Jesse Ylönen, Jayden Struble, or Cayden Primeau to the game? My hunch is that Struble has the highest chance of making a comeback, but only time will tell.

I’m eager to witness the adjustments to the lineup in action.

ith Roy’s injury, the Canadiens now have a roster of 22 healthy players: 13 forwards, seven defensemen, and three goalies. The current injury list is not as extensive as it has been in the past.

Joshua Roy is not officially listed on it, meaning that there are four players who are confirmed not to play again this season: Carey Price (LTIR), Chris Wideman, Kirby Dach, and Christian Dvorak.

When I mention that the season has concluded for these four players, it’s based on the statements made by the Canadiens. Although it wasn’t explicitly stated for Price and Wideman, it’s implied that their time with the Canadiens has come to an end.
