The Boston Bruins announced today (Sept. 29) that top prospect Fabian Lysell has been cut from the training camp roster. As a result, he will not be joining the NHL team and will return to the Providence Bruins.
Lysell’s early departure from Providence is surprising, especially after he showed promise in his last two preseason games, including a notable goal against the Washington Capitals. Despite this, it wasn’t enough for him to secure a spot on the NHL roster.
We will now have to wait and see what additional roster changes the Bruins make before the season begins. Additionally, it will be interesting to observe how Lysell reacts to being cut.
