JUST IN: Brendan Rodgers Delivers Celtic Injury Update; Maeda and Scales Latest

As Celtic gets ready for their Scottish Cup semi-final match against Aberdeen this weekend, coach Brendan Rodgers has given an update on the team’s injury situation.

Special attention is being paid to Daizen Maeda and Liam Scales, both crucial players who have encountered fitness issues recently.

Rodgers verified that there have been no recent developments in Daizen Maeda’s condition, reiterating earlier statements that it’s probable the winger’s season will conclude due to his injury. This update isn’t unexpected.

On a brighter note, Liam Scales has rejoined the team, a positive development evident from his involvement in training sessions at Lennoxtown. This return could significantly enhance Celtic’s defensive choices as they approach the critical phases of the season.

Furthermore, Rodgers mentioned that there are no fresh injuries among the team, a rare stroke of luck for Celtic, who have faced numerous setbacks this season.

In an interview with Celtic TV, Rodgers remarked, “Daizen is still sidelined. We will have to assess if he can contribute in the remaining weeks, but it’s certain he won’t feature tomorrow. Liam Scales is back in the squad, which is fantastic news for us. Other than that, our squad remains mostly unchanged.”

With a squad almost at full strength, Celtic are well-prepared to confront the upcoming challenges in both domestic cup and league competitions.
