JUST IN: Blue Jackets assign forward who notched goals, goaltender to Cleveland

The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forward Trey Fix-Wolansky and goaltender Malcolm Subban to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Cleveland Monsters.

Fix-Wolansky, 24, has recorded 2 goals and 1 assist for 3 points in 11 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has 4 goals and 2 assists for 6 points in 26 career NHL appearances since making his debut in 2021-22.

In the AHL, Fix-Wolansky has amassed 84 goals and 113 assists for 197 points in 221 career games with the Monsters. This season, he is among the AHL’s scoring leaders with 24 goals and 34 assists for 58 points in 55 games.

Subban, 30, has made one appearance for the Blue Jackets this season, making 32 saves in a 3-0 loss. He has a 36-34-9 record with a 3.10 goals-against average and .898 save percentage in 87 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Sabres, Blackhawks, Golden Knights, and Bruins.

In the AHL, Subban has a 89-78-29 record with a 2.65 goals-against average and .911 save percentage in 206 career games. This season, he has gone 11-17-4 with a 3.12 goals-against average and .901 save percentage in 35 AHL appearances.

The Blue Jackets will conclude their 2023-24 season with a home game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, April 30th.
