Just In: Army Black Knights Football Announce New Coaching Staff

Army West Point Football Head Coach Jeff Monken has announced new additions to the coaching staff: J Banzet as Recruiting Content Coordinator, Zach Gold as Director of Player Personnel, and Beau Rochler as Assistant Director of Video Operations.

Banzet comes to the Black Knights after several seasons at the University of North Carolina, where he most recently served as the Director of Media and Branding for the hockey team. He also worked as a student manager for the football team and earned his degree in sports administration this past spring.

Gold arrives at Army after six years (2019-24) at Temple University, where he advanced from graduate assistant to Director of Scouting for the football program.

In this role, he oversaw recruitment and scouting for high school, junior college, and transfer portal prospects, and led evaluation sessions with coaches to allocate scholarships.

Gold holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Northwestern University (2018) and a master’s degree from Temple University. During his time at Northwestern, he worked as a student manager for the football team for four seasons.

Rochler joins Army following four years (2021-24) at Binghamton University, where he was a communications intern for the athletic department and worked as a graphic designer for the women’s basketball team. He helped manage media operations for home events and created social media graphics.

Additionally, Rochler grew his freelance photography and videography Instagram account to over 100,000 followers by producing content related to various collegiate athletic programs. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human development from Binghamton University in 2021.
