Breaking news: Bengals Injury Updates On Franchise Quarterback

Joe Burrow Has Not Shown Up For Cincinnati Bengals Practice Due To Injury

The Cincinnati Bengals will be practicing on Tuesday without their star quarterback Joe Burrow. Burrow, who is recovering from a severe and uncommon wrist injury, is being cautious in his return process. Although Burrow was seen at the training facilities, it seems that he is not yet ready to participate in team practices.

Joe Burrow A No Show At Tuesday Practice

According to reports, Burrow is expected to continue to miss team practices in the coming days. Nonetheless, Bengals Talk’s James Rapien mentioned that Burrow will be present at the facility daily, focusing on his recovery from the wrist surgery he underwent earlier in the offseason.

The former top overall draft pick has been participating in team workouts recently, and his absence may simply be a precautionary measure as Burrow recovers from a rare injury that is relatively new to football players.

Head coach Zac Taylor will provide updates today about the team and Burrow specifically during his media address, as stated by Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. Even though Burrow will not be present at practice, backup Jake Browning will be working with the starting lineup. Browning served as a dependable backup last season while Burrow was sidelined. However, once Burrow is prepared to take on first-team practices, he is expected to join the starters on the field.

Burrow has not only been undergoing wrist rehabilitation but has also put on considerable weight in preparation for the 2024 season, aiming to enhance his durability throughout the demanding 17-game schedule.

“We have added some size. Definitely bigger. I will reassess my progress at the conclusion of the offseason. I am currently satisfied with my physical condition. I plan to further enhance my strength and size in the offseason and adjust accordingly based on my well-being.”

Burrow has a history of making deep playoff runs when he’s in good health towards the end of the season, so the Bengals won’t hurry his return. It’ll be wonderful to witness Burrow stay fit throughout the year since he’s a standout player who elevates the NFL.

Even though the Bengals are up against a challenging schedule this season, they possess all the necessary components to potentially secure the Super Bowl victory for Cincinnati at last.
