Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is feeling great after his impressive performance on “Monday Night Football” against the Cincinnati Bengals. He achieved 254 yards and two touchdowns in the 38-33 win, which earned him NFC Player of the Week honors.
As Washington gets ready for its Week 4 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, Daniels and the team are practicing at his former field at Arizona State. He reminisced about his time in Tempe and how it helped shape him as a player.

“I came here at 18 and kinda was still trying to find myself,” Daniels told Devils Digest’s Justin LaCertosa on Wednesday. “Once I made that move to transfer, I was 21 years old and was kinda able to find out who I am as a man, being away and being on my own. That move helped out a lot from, you know, being able to grow up, figure out who I am as a person, who I am as a football player and going from there.”

This week, Washington was allowed to utilize ASU’s practice facilities, and Daniels looked comfortable during warm-ups at practice on Wednesday.
He played for the Sun Devils from 2019-21 before transferring to LSU, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2023. During his time at ASU, he compiled an 18-11 record, amassing 6,024 yards and 32 touchdowns.
