McCarthy avoided arbitration by signing a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday, according to Jack Sommers of DBacks on SI.
Although McCarthy has surfaced in trade discussions this offseason, he remains with Arizona for now. He is projected to occupy the favorable side of a left-field platoon, but holding onto that role will require a major rebound after he recorded a 60 wRC+ over 222 plate appearances during the 2025 season.
Ginkel (shoulder) avoided arbitration by signing a one-year, $2.7 million contract with the Diamondbacks on Thursday, per Jack Sommers of DBacks on SI.
The right-hander is entering his final year of arbitration eligibility and received a $300,000 salary increase from 2025. After being shut down in early August due to a shoulder issue, his availability for the start of spring training remains uncertain.
