Ja Morant gets brutally honest after controversial Luka Doncic foul in NBA Finals Game 3

Memphis Grizzlies standout Ja Morant was watching the clash between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of their basketball match.

With just over four minutes to go in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, the Dallas Mavericks’ top player, Luka Doncic, received his sixth foul. The referees called a blocking foul on Doncic when Jaylen Brown was attempting to drive, leading to Doncic’s disqualification from the game after the officials upheld the decision following a review.

The decision sparked controversy among fans, with some questioning the officiating crew’s choice to dismiss Doncic on a play of that nature. Despite these objections, the officials stated that there was insufficient clear and decisive proof to overturn the original call made on the court.

During the officials’ assessment through replay review, Ja Morant from the Memphis Grizzlies shared the following post on X (formerly Twitter):

Curious about the outcome of the replay review, Morant posed this question as the officials headed to the monitor. Shortly after, Morant received the answer to his query as the officials confirmed the initial call, thereby bringing Doncic’s participation in the game to an end.

It was a disappointing conclusion for Doncic, unable to complete the closely contested game following Dallas’s spirited comeback efforts. Without Doncic, the Mavericks struggled to seal the comeback, with both Kyrie Irving and other Dallas players missing crucial shots in the final moments.

With this defeat, the Mavericks find themselves trailing the Boston Celtics 3-0, leaving their season teetering on the brink of conclusion.
