Bishop Gorman, a dominant offensive lineman from Las Vegas, Nevada, who is ranked among the top 100 in the country, declared his commitment to the Miami Hurricanes on the 247Sports YouTube channel.
When outstanding offensive lineman Seuseu Alofaituli donned the green and orange hat on Friday, Miami maintained its incredible winning streak and secured yet another crucial commitment. The Bishop Gorman standout from Las Vegas, Nevada, made his selection public on the 247Sports YouTube page, making him the third player in the top 100 to enroll in the illustrious class this week. Everything you need to know about Miami’s newest addition is provided here:
“I’ve had a great connection with Miami and with the coaches there for a while, and just have felt really comfortable with them as coaches and as people,” Alofaituli stated to 247Sports. “Back in my first year at Oregon, Coach Alex Mirabal made me an offer, and he has continued to be in contact with me. He hasn’t relaxed or eased up; instead, he has consistently offered encouragement, and I get along well with them.
“That place’s culture and people are the problem. It’s the folks who work there; what they’re creating down there is really unique. They place a lot of emphasis on development, so I wanted to be part of it. I can’t wait to start working down there.”
In addition to Nebraska and Michigan, there were official visits in June and caps on the table. Nevertheless, Miami took the lead early on in the struggle and didn’t give up, winning the last official visit the weekend before the current recruiting dead period began. Participating schools included Oregon and Texas A&M, which made an impression on the gifted 6-foot-3, 280-pound blocker during this off-season’s unofficial visits.
At the time of the announcement, the Hurricanes had all six of the 247Sports Crystal Ball forecasts in their favor.
According to 247Sports, Alofaituli is ranked No. 55 overall in the country, No. 2 among interior offensive linemen, and No. 2 in the state of Nevada for the 2025 class. Out in the West, he leads the offensive lineman in position rankings.
Although Alofaituli can play any interior offensive line position, his long-term projection may be as a center. With his wicked streak, effective first punch, and honed technique, he is a tough road grader who should be able to contribute as soon as he sets foot in Coral Gables.
Alofaituli is currently one of the leaders of the class, leading a group that is rising in the national rankings. Linebacker Gavin Nix of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and Mandarin athlete Hylton Stubbs of Jacksonville, Florida, were the other two blue-chippers to announce for the Hurricanes to begin the month of July.
Earlier this off-season, Greg Biggins, the national recruiting analyst for 247Sports, had the opportunity to watch Alofaituli up close on the showcase tour and was quite impressed.
Biggins said in the scouting report that “Alofaituli may not have the biggest frame but makes up for it with his strength, feet, balance, physicality, and high level football IQ.” “At the moment, he is capable of playing the position at the collegiate level and comprehends leverage. He can move very well laterally, get to the second level with ease, and block a linebacker or safety. He is also quick off the ball. He mutilates opposing lineman in the run game and is destructive at the point of attack.”
