When will the Hawkeyes’ Top Remaining 2025 Targets Will Commit ?
The Iowa Hawkeyes football program is in the midst of an exciting recruiting cycle for their 2025 class. With 12 commitments already secured, the coaching staff is now focused on landing their top remaining targets to round out the class.
Iose Epenesa, DL, Edwardsville (IL) High
Iose Epenesa, a 4-star defensive lineman from Illinois, is one of Iowa’s top remaining targets. The 6-4, 250-pound prospect holds offers from several Big Ten programs, including Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, and Illinois. According to recruiting experts, the Hawkeyes are in a strong position to land Epenesa’s commitment, with Indiana, Purdue, and Northwestern also heavily in the mix.
Terrence Smith, WR, West Aurora (IL) High
Another key target for the Hawkeyes is 4-star wide receiver Terrence Smith from Illinois. The 6-5, 185-pound pass-catcher has drawn interest from Iowa State, Minnesota, and several Mid-American Conference schools. While Smith has yet to announce any official visit plans, Iowa has been actively recruiting him and watched him work out at his high school this week.
Mason Woods, TE, Iowa City West
The Hawkeyes are also hoping to keep a top in-state talent at home, with tight end Mason Woods from Iowa City West. Woods, the son of Iowa special teams coordinator LeVar Woods, is a 3-star athlete who holds offers from Kansas, Kansas State, and others. Recruiting experts heavily favor Iowa to land Woods’ commitment, given his family ties to the program.
Maguire Richman, LB, Overland Park (KS) Blue Valley
The Hawkeyes are also targeting linebacker Maguire Richman from Kansas, whose brother Mason Richman is expected to be Iowa’s starting left tackle this fall. Maguire holds offers from Kansas State, Memphis, and others, and has set official visits to K-State and Memphis, though Iowa is seen as the favorite to land his commitment.
With the Hawkeyes’ annual recruiting weekend set for June 21, the coaching staff will be working hard to secure commitments from these top remaining targets in the coming weeks. Iowa’s 2025 class is shaping up to be another strong one, as the Hawkeyes look to build on their recent recruiting success.
