Intriguing: Las Vegas Raiders Sign Another Top prospect From Cleveland
A Cleveland Browns quarterback is on the move once again.
According to multiple reports, Kenny Pickett has been traded for the second time this offseason. The Browns are sending the former first-rounder to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round draft pick.
Cleveland initially acquired Pickett in March from the Philadelphia Eagles in a deal that sent quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson the other way. Pickett had been competing for the starting job in Cleveland but ultimately lost out to veteran Joe Flacco.
The Browns held a quarterback competition featuring Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. With Pickett now traded, Cleveland may choose to keep both Gabriel and Sanders on the active roster, potentially freeing up an additional roster spot for depth elsewhere.
Pickett, meanwhile, was part of the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning team last season, serving as a backup quarterback.
This marks the second time the Raiders have acquired a quarterback via trade this offseason. Back in March, Las Vegas sent a 2025 third-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks to land Geno Smith. After backup Aidan O’Connell suffered a fractured wrist in the Raiders’ preseason finale, the team decided to bring in another veteran presence behind Smith by trading for Kenny Pickett.
