INCOMING: Five-Star Quarterback Predicted To Land With Tennessee Football

Is Tennessee football on the verge of securing another top-tier quarterback with Josh Heupel at the helm?

After Faizon Brandon’s recent trip to Knoxville, recruitment expert Steve Wiltfong made a bold prediction, foreseeing the highly sought-after quarterback committing to the Vols.

Brandon, a five-star prospect and the top-ranked player in the 2026 recruiting class per 247sports, stands tall at 6-foot-4. In On3 sports rankings, he is considered a four-star recruit and claims the No. 11 spot in the upcoming recruiting cycle.

Wiltfong’s prediction came promptly after Brandon’s visit to Tennessee. Hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, the young quarterback participated in Tennessee’s high school camp during his weekend trip to Knoxville.

Brandon has made his fifth visit to Knoxville over the past year. The standout five-star recruit attended the South Carolina, Texas A&M, and Georgia games last autumn, as well as in April. Additionally, Brandon has explored recruitment opportunities at Florida State and North Carolina State, among other schools.

One of the most impressive feats achieved by Josh Heupel and his team on the recruiting front has been securing top-tier quarterbacks. The Vols successfully recruited five-star talent Nico Iamaleava in the 2023 class, and currently, five-star quarterback George MacIntyre is the top-rated recruit for Tennessee in the 2025 cycle.

As of now, Tennessee has not secured a commitment for the 2026 cycle. If Brandon decides to commit soon, he would potentially become the inaugural commit and a crucial cornerstone for the upcoming recruiting class.
