I think we’ve found something really special in him: Raptors coach ”Darko Rajakovic” made a honest statement about a talented player

The Toronto Raptors may have discovered a hidden talent in Jamison Battle. It’s been some time since the Raptors found an undrafted free agent who developed into a valuable rotation player.

While Battle is still working to prove himself, he has shown encouraging progress. The 23-year-old recently had the best game of his career, scoring 24 points in just 22 minutes, shooting 9-for-11 from the field and 6-for-8 from beyond the arc. With Gradey Dick sidelined due to a calf contusion, Battle seized the opportunity to play more minutes. “I really appreciate his daily effort.

Every time I speak with him, he’s focused, attentive, and eager to apply everything we’re teaching him on the court,” said Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic. “I think we’ve found something really special in him.” Standing at 6-foot-7, Battle has a strong shooting ability.

Following his performance against the Pelicans, he boasts a three-point shooting percentage of 43.3%. Beyond his skills on the court, Battle comes across as mature and composed. “One of the key things I do is journal,” Battle shared when asked how he keeps his mind clear. “I enjoy looking back and reflecting on my experiences, whether from two years ago at Minnesota, last year at Ohio State, or my current moments, which I can revisit.” While Battle still needs to improve defensively to secure more consistent playing time, his shooting talent is certainly something the Raptors could benefit from in the future.
