‘I am not finished yet’ Former Oregon Ducks’ star says after tying rookie record with the Denver Broncos

Bo Nix led the Denver Broncos to a 33-10 win over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday. The rookie has won four of his first seven games and the Broncos are now 4-3 on the season, their best record after seven games in a season since 2016.

Nix’s four wins also placed him alongside one of the Broncos’ greatest players in franchise history. Nix tied the Broncos’ franchise record for most wins by a rookie quarterback in a season. He is tied with Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway, who got his fourth win in Week 15 during the 1983 season. Drew Lock also won four games during the 2019 season.

“It means a lot,” Nix told reporters after the game. “You’re talking about one of the greats to ever do it at our organization. It means a lot. You’re in great company. I am not finished. We have a lot in front of us, so I definitely don’t want to stop there. We are going to continue to get better as a team. I am going to continue to grow and learn as a player. Hopefully, we will continue to have wins like this.”

The Broncos have 10 games remaining on the schedule, so it’s not a question of if, just when will Nix break the rookie record.
