Hugh Freeze just eased every Auburn fan’s nerves with this one…
Hugh Freeze has shared a promising development regarding Auburn running back Jeremiah Cobb.
Cobb, who has been recovering from a fractured finger, has now been cleared to fully practice. He’s no longer required to wear a non-contact jersey during fall camp.

Freeze informed reporters of that news on Wednesday:

Cobb has served as a reserve running back in each of the last 2 seasons with the Tigers. He’s averaged 5.1 yards per carry overall in his career and has amassed 2 touchdowns so far as well. Both of those scores came during his freshman campaign.
Now entering Year 3, Cobb is expected to figure heavily into Auburn’s plans at running back. Damari Alston and transfer Durrell Robinson are also expected to earn playing time this fall. Cobb is from Montgomery, Alabama, and signed with the Tigers as a 4-star recruit in the class of 2023.
Auburn will open up the 2025 season against Baylor on Aug. 30.
