“Hugh Freeze Is Full Of S*”: Auburn Tigers Head Coach Hugh Freeze Gets Called Out By Former Alabama Crimson Tide Quarterback A.J. McCarron

Auburn Tigers head coach Hugh Freeze is facing a critical third season as the program’s head coach entering the 2025 college football season. He has a 11-14 overall record in his first two years with the program.

If he does not see better results with Auburn in 2025, there is a chance that this program could move on from him. Auburn has struggled on the recruiting trail for the class of 2026, and this is not good in order to compete with the top teams in the SEC Conference.

Former Alabama Crimson Tide Quarterback A.J. McCarron Calls Out Auburn Tigers Head Coach Hugh Freeze

Former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron was on The Dynasty Podcast to talk about the comments that the Tigers head coach made about the latest House v. NCAA settlement. McCarron said,

“Hugh Freeze is full of s*. I think Hugh Freeze is trying to do whatever he can to save face. He’s starting to feel pressure at Auburn – going into his third year, not having the success that the alumni, the boosters, everybody donating a lot of money thought he would have by this point. I think he’s trying to figure out and scramble on why they are not successful.”

It is not a surprise that someone from Alabama is talking harsh words towards someone from Auburn. Kalen DeBoer is a better head coach than Freeze is. The Iron Bowl rivalry gets intense no matter what. The Crimson Tide has always dominated recruiting in the SEC Conference over the years and Auburn is just jealous of what they do at Alabama. The Tigers need to have a big year in college football, or they will be searching for a new head coach.

McCarron also added,

“The state of Alabama is ran by Alabama fans, Alabama alumni. Whether you like it or not – and I’ve never been one to just absolutely hate on Auburn. Hell, I’ve caught hell from Alabama fans for cheering for some of my friends that played at Auburn. If you are from the state of Alabama, I think it is dumb for you not to sing with the University of Alabama. Your avenue for success with life after football is a lot greater – bigger, however you want to describe it – I think, with being an ex-Alabama football player compared to Auburn.”

It is interesting that he decided to say some things about this stuff. The Auburn and Alabama rivalry runs deep in the state of Alabama, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Crimson Tide have another successful season over the Tigers.
