Huge Surprise as another Sabres forward expected to be out longer term

The Buffalo Sabres’ forward is anticipated to be sidelined for an extended period of time

Sportsnet has reported that Jack Quinn, a forward for the Buffalo Sabres, is expected to have a prolonged absence, as stated by Sabres head coach Don Granato. Granato spoke to the media following the Sabres’ 5-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks, mentioning that the injury Quinn sustained during the game is unlikely to be a day-to-day situation.

Quinn had to leave the game during the third period after being hit by Tomas Hertl, a forward for the Sharks, along the boards. After managing to stand up, Quinn was unable to put any weight on his left leg and slowly made his way to the Sabres bench.

It’s unfortunate for Jack Quinn, who hails from Ottawa, Ontario, as he had recently made his way back into the lineup just over a month ago after recovering from an Achilles injury he suffered during summer training.

The 22-year-old had provided much-needed scoring ability to the struggling Sabres, contributing five goals and seven assists in 17 games. Quinn, a former standout for the Ottawa 67’s, has been a valuable supporting player for Buffalo throughout his career, recording 20 goals and 31 assists in 94 games.

The Sabres have not made any official announcement about Quinn’s future status and will likely need to conduct tests before determining a concrete timeline for his return. The team’s next game is scheduled for February 6th, following the all-star break.
