“Huge Boost” as la Chargers bolster squad dept signing another top sensational star to a 2-year-contract valuing $10,000 million

The Los Angeles Chargers bolstered their outside linebacker corps by bringing in an experienced and dependable veteran. Recently, the team revealed the signing of Bud Dupree, a seasoned free agent at the OLB position.

While specific financial details were not disclosed by the Chargers, reports from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport indicate that Dupree has signed a two-year contract valued at $6 million. Additionally, there is potential for Dupree to earn up to $10 million through performance-based incentives.

In 2023, Bud Dupree played for the Atlanta Falcons, showcasing a strong performance across 16 games with 6.5 sacks, 39 tackles, eight QB hits, three pass deflections, and two forced fumbles. A former first-round pick in 2015, Dupree has also had stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans. His standout season occurred in 2019 with the Steelers, where he recorded 11.5 sacks, 68 tackles, 17 QB hits, and four forced fumbles.

Despite the Los Angeles Chargers boasting Pro Bowl talents like Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack as their starting outside linebackers, the addition of Dupree provides valuable depth to the position. This move is particularly prudent given Bosa’s recent injury history, having missed a total of 19 games in 2022 and 2023, and Mack approaching the latter stages of his NFL career.
