Huge blow for the Wildcats as another super talent decommits from the program

Another wide receiver  has decided to decommit from Kentucky football.

This has been a successful recruiting season for Mark Stoops and the Wildcats as they work on their 2025 recruiting class, which is currently ranked in the top 25. However, they have recently experienced a setback with the loss of one of their commitments when a talented receiver opted to reopen his recruitment.

Standing at 6’1″ and weighing 160 pounds, this player hails from Texas and ranks as the 514th overall prospect in his class, as well as the 43rd athlete according to 247sports. He holds a three-star rating.

Initially, he committed to Kentucky on June 16 after a visit with the team. After recently visiting the LSU Tigers, he announced his decision to decommit from Kentucky shortly thereafter.

Despite this loss, Kentucky still has three wide receivers committed for 2025: Quintin Simmons, Preston Bowman, and Montavin Quisenberry, all of whom are also rated as three stars and are expected to join the Wildcats next season.

Best of luck to Ja’kayden Ferguson in his future endeavors
