Huge blow as head coach Eric Morris announces yet another devastating news involving Chandler Morris

Chandler Morris, the former TCU Horned Frogs quarterback now leading the North Texas Mean Green in 2024, suffered a shoulder injury during a tough matchup against the Tulane Green Wave.

As the third quarter was winding down, Morris was sacked and remained on the ground afterward. He needed assistance from the North Texas medical staff to leave the field, heading directly to the blue tent for evaluation. ESPN’s Lauren Sisler shared an update as the Mean Green offense resumed play.

“It’s so unfortunate that Morris is out of the game, dealing with that right shoulder,” she reported. “Certainly in a lot of pain coming off the field. He was holding it, it was immobile. They put him in the tent here, so we’ll keep an eye on him and see how things shake out the rest of the game.”

In Morris’ stead, Drew Mestemaker has taken over at quarterback. At the time of his injury, the former Horned Frogs star had completed 24-of-35 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns.
