“Huge blow” As another Oregon defensive tackle commits to transfer to Michigan State

Ben Roberts, a former defensive tackle for Oregon, will play elsewhere in the Big Ten.

Roberts, who entered the transfer portal last month and participated in five games while redshirting last season, committed to Michigan State on Wednesday.

Currently in his redshirt sophomore year, he still has three years left to be eligible.

The 6-foot-2, 310-pound Roberts played 34 defensive snaps and two special teams snaps in the previous season, recording two tackles and blocking an extra point. In five games as a rookie in 2022, he played 48 snaps and recorded three tackles.
