We’ve all heard the saying, “It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.”
That phrase perfectly sums up the recruitment journey of Class of 2026 forward Quinn Costello.
Standing at 6-foot-10, Costello has recently seen a surge in interest from several major college programs. His breakout performance on the court—highlighted by earning Co-MVP honors at the Pangos All-American Camp—has been the driving force behind this sudden rise in attention.
Since May 27, the following schools have extended scholarship offers: Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Michigan, Purdue, Texas, Michigan State, Syracuse, Providence, Texas A&M, Maryland, and Wake Forest.
Simply put, Costello’s recruitment is heating up fast—and another program has just joined the growing list of suitors.
Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Quinn Costello announced on social media that he has received a scholarship offer from the North Carolina Tar Heels. He now becomes the 11th player in the Class of 2026 to earn an offer from head coach Hubert Davis and his staff.

Costello, a four-star prospect, is currently ranked as the top player in Massachusetts by 247Sports and holds the No. 72 spot nationally in their latest rankings.
The 6-foot-10 forward fits UNC’s mold for a modern “stretch four,” capable of scoring at all three levels. His versatility extends to the defensive end as well, where he’s known for his strong on-ball defense and shot-blocking ability.
Watching Costello play makes it clear why UNC has taken notice. Although he wasn’t an early name on many recruiting boards, he continues to outplay his ranking and establish himself as one of the top emerging talents in his class.
