Highly-coveted offensive lineman gives NC State some good news

The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Jemison, who holds nearly 50 scholarship offers, is down to five schools: State, Georgia Tech, UNC, Ole Miss and Kentucky. Jemison also announced he’ll make his college commitment June 27.
Wolfpack offensive line coach Garett Tujague is the point man in State’s pursuit of Jemison and the biggest reason the Pack’s in the mix for the highly-touted offensive lineman.
“He’s very passionate and very hands-on,” Jemison said in May. “I love that about him and believe those are very important, especially when it comes to the offensive line. That alone kind of sets the standard. He’s not a laid back guy. He’s cool, but also energetic and interactive, and I saw that when I watched them practice. I could easily see myself fitting in there. Our personalities are very similar.”
The aforementioned Tujague is bullish on Jemison’s potential at the next level and hasn’t been shy about his future.
”He said a guy like me could probably play positions one through five on the O-line,” Jemison said earlier this year. “He said with his experience with coaches in the NFL, he definitely sees me being a top pick under his coaching. I really value his opinion. Hearing that, my whole face lit up. Hearing that from a guy like coach Tujague was just awesome. It meant the world to me.”
To date, the South Paulding standout has taken official visits to State, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and UNC. Next, he’ll head to Kentucky this weekend. After trips, he’ll take time to evaluate his options and make his decision in the next few months.
”After the official visits, I’ll probably try to make my decision in August,” Jemison said last month. “Development is going to be the No. 1 factor. Also do I fit on and off the field — a cultural fit. Education is also a big thing for me because football doesn’t last forever and you need something to fall back on.”
Jemison is a high-three-star prospect (88), nation’s 48th-ranked interior offensive lineman and No. 73 player in Georgia according to 247Sports.
