“Highly Conflicting” Colorado’s Five-Star Offensive Lineman Contradicts Travis Hunter With Bold Claim About NDSU

North Dakota State is a popular choice to upset Colorado in Week 1 of the 2024 college football season. However, five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton warns that the Bison may face challenges.

This presents an opportunity for the Buffaloes to demonstrate improvement over last year, and the pressure is mounting.

Colorado struggled in nearly every offensive line statistic last season, with Shedeur Sanders being sacked 56 times and the team averaging under 70 rushing yards per game. Yikes!

Deion Sanders focused heavily on revamping the offensive line during the offseason, bringing in five experienced FBS starters via the transfer portal. They also signed Jordan Seaton, the top recruit at his position for the Class of 2024, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 285 pounds.

Coach Prime expressed his approval of the revamped offensive line after spring practice and credited first-year position coach Phil Loadholt for the improvements.

It ain’t just one saying hey, I’m standing out. These guys are a tremendous group and a tremendous family. You rarely see one without the other. You rarely see one of those guys anywhere; you see three or four of them together at all times. Tyler Brown is killing it. He’s probably grading higher than the guys on a daily basis and he’s consistent as I don’t know what. You talk about physicality and being able to run the ball, we should be able to do that.

That was back in April, and Colorado’s offensive linemen are expected to improve over time.

However, Travis Hunter Jr. took a shot at the Buffaloes’ front five while playing College Football 25, suggesting they’re still struggling. He remarked that they “can’t block for nothing.”

We’ll soon see if the offensive line has improved from last year when the Bison visit Boulder on August 29. Seaton hinted it might be a tough battle in the trenches after uncovering some kind of advantage.

The freshman didn’t disclose what Colorado found on tape but suggested it could be significant. North Dakota State had a top-10 defense in the FCS last season, limiting opponents to under 300 yards and fewer than 20 points per game. They will kick off 2024 as the No. 2-ranked team in the FCS.

If the Buffaloes’ offensive line has indeed improved, Week 1—with this undisclosed advantage—will serve as an important test for their success.
