The Virginia Cavaliers began the day with two commitments in the 2021 recruiting class, but they’ve now lost one. Terion Sugick, a defensive tackle from Fort Washington (Md.) National Christian Academy, announced on Twitter that he has decommitted from UVA.

Sugick became the first recruit to commit to UVA in the 2021 class earlier this month, selecting UVA over offers from North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, Louisville, West Virginia, Maryland, and Vanderbilt.

‌According to the 247Sports Composite, Sugick, who checks in at 6-foot-2.5 and 287-pounds is rated three-stars according to the 247Sports Composite.

Virginia currently has one commitment in the 2021 class, Richmond (Va.) Benedictine dual-threat quarterback Jay Woolfolk, who committed to the Wahoos two days after Sugick made his pledge.

‌

“It was just the right place,” said Woolfolk of his decision to commit to Virginia. “The coaches show so much love and the atmosphere is amazing.”
