The complete non-conference schedule for the Nebraska men’s basketball team has been released. The Huskers announced the details on Friday morning, starting with two exhibition games against BYU and Midland, both hosted at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

“We have several challenges lined up in our non-conference schedule, starting with an exhibition game against BYU, a team that made it to the Sweet 16 last season,” said Head Coach Fred Hoiberg. “This matchup will provide us with valuable insight as we head into the season.

“We’ll kick off with three consecutive home games before taking on Oklahoma and two strong teams in the Hall of Fame Classic the following week. The December schedule highlights a game against Creighton, a team expected to be a top contender in the Big East, along with two Big Ten matchups before we dive back into conference play in January.”

The December game against Creighton is anticipated to be the highlight of the non-conference slate, with the Huskers facing the Bluejays in Lincoln on December 7.

Nebraska won’t have a true road game before starting conference play. They will begin the regular season at home against West Georgia on November 3, followed by home games against Florida International and Maryland-Eastern Shore.

The Huskers will next head out on the road for three neutral site games. They’ll face Oklahoma in Sioux Falls at the Sanford Pentagon on November 15. Following that, Nebraska will travel to Kansas City for the Hall of Fame Classic on November 20-21, where they’ll compete against Kansas State, Mississippi State, and New Mexico.

The remainder of the non-conference schedule includes games against Winthrop, South Carolina Upstate, North Dakota, and New Hampshire.

Although Nebraska’s Big Ten Conference schedule has not yet been revealed, the matchups were announced at the end of April and can be found online.

The Huskers are coming off a 21-14 season that concluded with a championship at the College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas. They are returning five lettermen from last season, including starters Berke Büyüktuncel and Sam Hoiberg, as well as Connor Essegian, who averaged 10.7 points per game off the bench.
