Through the 1890 NIL program, you have the chance to support the Nebraska football program while also getting to witness a practice and contribute to the NIL fund, which aids in attracting and retaining athletes to Nebraska.

Nebraska has declared that on Saturday, August 3, at 6 p.m., in Memorial Stadium, Husker fans will be able to attend a practice as part of a “Big Red Preview.”

As a Nebraska supporter, I never anticipate giving the NIL 1890 program a single penny. Will I bring my family to this practice, though? Sure, I will. I think it’s a really smart concept.

A declaration and details from the Department:

1890 July 10, 2024, Nebraska Big Red Preview, a public evening practice on Saturday, August 3, is proudly announced by Husker Football and Nebraska—the official name, image, and likeness (NIL) collective of Nebraska Athletics. Before the season opens on August 31 against the UTEP Miners, Husker fans will have a unique opportunity to witness a Husker Football practice at Memorial Stadium thanks to Big Red Preview. Three days early on July 31, fall camp will kick off, and the team will showcase the hard work they’re putting in to get ready for the 2024 campaign.

Cost and Availability of Tickets. The Big Red Preview event’s gates will open at 6:00 p.m., and practice is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, July 11, at 10:00 a.m., tickets will go on sale at Huskers.com/tickets. Each ticket for the event is $25, and they are all transportable. The Big Red Preview will include public admission seating. The money raised from ticket sales will benefit Nebraska student-athletes participating in all Nebraska Athletics programs by 1890. NIL has a favorable effect on the lives of student-athletes and aids Nebraska coaches in attracting and keeping top talent. CEO of 1890 Nebraska Carson Schott stated, “We’re excited to work with Nebraska Athletics and Husker Football in hosting the Big Red Preview.” Husker supporters will have a fantastic chance to watch a summer evening football practice with loved ones and friends while also contributing to NIL initiatives for our outstanding student-athletes.

In Nebraska, circa 1890. Founded to assist name, image, and likeness (NIL) initiatives for Nebraska student-athletes, 1890 Nebraska is a collective. The collective’s operating costs are entirely covered by its founders, Tom and Shawn Peed, so supporters may be guaranteed that 100% of their donations support student-athletes. For every contributor, 1890 provides two options: The 1890 Foundation and The 1890 Initiative.

The 1890 Project. The Huskers Athletic Fund is now able to award priority points, gear, Husker memorabilia, and exclusive access to Husker experiences to donors who support the 1890 Initiative. Huskers Athletic Fund priority points are used by Nebraska Athletics to upgrade season tickets and provide postseason and away game ticket requests.

The Foundation of 1890. Since the 1890 Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, you may be able to deduct contributions from your taxes. Contributions to the Foundation help regional nonprofits and other 501(c)(3) establishments, giving student-athletes access to important NIL opportunities.

How Do I Make a Decision? These choices immediately assist and boost the performance of our student-athletes. While The 1890 Initiative provides unique membership benefits, The 1890 Foundation is the best option for individuals wishing to forgo priority points in exchange for tax-deductible contributions and community involvement. 18901125 Q Street, Suite 401Lincoln, can be reached at
