It seems like everything Dabo Swinney touches this offseason is turning into a success. The Clemson football coach has been assembling a roster that could contend for a national title, impressing fans during the spring game, and he’s also putting together a top-five recruiting class for 2026.
Before Friday’s Gordon Sellars announcement, Clemson had already achieved the No. 3 recruiting class in the nation with 13 commitments. The situation improved even further at 12 p.m. ET.
That’s right—the Tigers landed a commitment from the four-star wide receiver!

Sellars was at the top of Dabo Swinney’s wide receiver recruiting list, where he had already secured a couple of elite prospects. With this latest commitment, he now has a third wideout to enhance the class, positioning Clemson with one of the strongest receiver groups for 2026.
The four-star prospect from North Carolina chose the Tigers over South Carolina, Ohio State, and Michigan, and he had already drawn attention from Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M, Penn State, and Notre Dame.
With Sellars on board, Clemson’s 2026 recruiting class now boasts 14 commitments, allowing them to climb back to the No. 2 spot in this recruiting cycle, just behind USC.
According to 247Sports, Sellars is ranked as the No. 207 overall recruit in the 2026 class and the No. 41 receiver. He joins Connor Salmin and Naeem Burroughs as Clemson’s third four-star receiver commit.
Swinney has been excelling in recruiting, and things are likely to improve further for the Tigers during the summer official visit season. We’ve seen a surge of commitments this spring, and I wouldn’t be surprised if even more top targets choose Clemson this summer!
