In a challenging week for New York football, both the New York Giants and the New York Jets failed to score a touchdown in their respective home games at MetLife Stadium. The Giants lost to the Dallas Cowboys 20-15 on Thursday, while the Jets fell 10-9 to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, resulting in a combined total of zero touchdowns and just 24 points over two games in East Rutherford. Despite the Giants outgaining the Cowboys in total yards and controlling possession, they couldn’t take advantage of key opportunities, settling for five field goals on nine drives. Quarterback Daniel Jones had his best performance of the season, completing 29 of 40 passes for 281 yards, but it was not enough. The Giants’ only scoring came from kicker Greg Joseph. Star rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers exited in the fourth quarter, and Jones’ final pass in an attempt to win the game ended in an interception. On Sunday, the Jets mirrored this struggle, scoring only three field goals on 13 drives in their narrow 10-9 loss to the Broncos. Fans are frustrated by the lack of offensive output from both teams, as the Giants have yet to win at home this season. The Jets are now 1-1 at MetLife and 2-2 overall. Both teams struggled to establish any offensive rhythm, leaving New York fans searching for solutions. The Giants registered 303 total yards (277 passing and just 26 rushing) but failed to convert effectively, going five-for-15 on third down and three-for-four on fourth down. Similarly, the Jets displayed offensive difficulties, even with veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers at the helm.
