The Georgia Bulldogs entered the College Football Playoff as the No. 2 seed after winning the SEC Championship Game. However, following their first-round bye, they were defeated by the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 23-10, eliminating them from the playoffs.
The loss also marks the end of many Bulldogs’ collegiate careers, as several players are either entering the transfer portal or declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft in April.
Nonetheless, head coach Kirby Smart quickly shifts his focus to next season, the Bulldogs received some significant news regarding the transfer portal, adding a key piece at the wide receiver position.
Texas A&M transfer Noah Thomas announced he intends to transfer to Athens after spending the last three years with the Aggies.
This is a huge addition for the 2025 season, which may very well be led by quarterback Gunner Stockton. Georgia struggled with wide receiver depth and production throughout the 2024 season, especially when they needed it the most.
Thomas, standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 200 pounds, brings an elite wide receiver build. He possesses the skills and athleticism to provide Smart and the Bulldogs with a dynamic playmaker on the outside.

Over his three years at Texas A&M, Thomas accumulated 73 receptions for 984 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. He was rated as one of the top prospects in the transfer portal at his position this offseason. He hauled in eight of his 15 career touchdowns in 2024.
