Nolan Smith rips transfers, defends Carter, more - UGASports: Georgia Bulldogs Football & Basketball Recruiting
The Georgia Bulldogs have received some exciting news regarding a key member of their team!  and fans are likely buzzing with anticipation. By now, every Georgia football fan is aware of how many former Bulldogs participated in this season’s Super Bowl. A total of eight former players were on the two teams, with six Bulldogs making up a large portion of the Philadelphia Eagles.

While Georgia’s players performed decently in the Super Bowl, the utmost priority was clinching victory in the most important football game of all, which they successfully achieved. However, NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed that one of Georgia’s alumni played in the Super Bowl while dealing with a serious injury.

#Eagles pass-rusher Nolan Smith tore his triceps in the Super Bowl LIX win over the #Chiefs — and played through it in the second half, per me and @MikeGarafolo.

Nolan Smith played in the Super Bowl despite being injured. According to Rapoport, the Philadelphia linebacker battled through the entire second half with a torn tricep.

Is there anything tougher than that? A torn tricep is no small matter—it essentially meant Smith was playing the second half using one arm, which is quite a challenge in the NFL.

But should anyone really be shocked that Smith pushed through? While it was the Super Bowl and players often play through almost any injury, UGA fans know just how tough Smith is. So, witnessing him play through an injury like this isn’t all that surprising.

Super Bowl LIX: Kansas City Chiefs v Philadelphia Eagles

Smith recently completed his second season with the Eagles, recording 42 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. These stats are significantly better than his rookie season, indicating that he’s finding his groove and learning how to excel in the league.

With a long career ahead in the NFL, Smith already has one Super Bowl ring, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him add several more before his time in football is over.
