Georgia Bulldogs & ‘Kirby Smart’ Receive Another Clear Message From Detroit Lions Following NFL Draft
The Georgia Bulldogs and Detroit Lions may have just become best friends following the Lions’ latest social media post.

The 2025 NFL Draft has wrapped up, with all 32 teams choosing their next wave of players. This year, the Georgia Bulldogs had a strong presence, with an impressive 13 players selected.
Among those chosen, three Bulldogs were picked up by the Detroit Lions: Tate Ratledge, Dominic Lovett, and Dan Jackson, who were drafted between rounds 2 and 7.
It’s somewhat uncommon for a single team to have three players selected, a trend that’s mainly associated with the Philadelphia Eagles, who frequently draft from Georgia and have even earned the nickname “The Phill Dawgs.” The Lions’ picks, however, could signal the start of a new alliance between the college and professional teams.
This budding “friendship” inspired a lighthearted social media post from Detroit, featuring a scene from the classic comedy film “Step Brothers,” where the main characters declare their best friendship. The Bulldogs’ social media account also shared the post

The three Bulldogs, now part of the Detroit Lions, aim to establish a championship mentality in Detroit similar to what they developed in Athens, all while assisting their new team in achieving the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl
