former South Alabama Key star, suffers broken collarbone

Louisville’s football team has hit a snag with the news that wide receiver Caullin Lacy suffered a broken collarbone during practice on Saturday. According to Pat Forde, the Mobile, Alabama native is expected to be sidelined for six to eight weeks as he recovers from this injury.

Lacy, who previously starred at South Alabama, made a significant impact last season, setting a program record with 91 receptions, amassing 1,316 yards, and scoring seven touchdowns in just 12 games. His impressive performance placed him sixth nationally in both reception and yardage totals.

A standout player from Faith Academy in Mobile, Lacy is the most notable athlete to have transferred from South Alabama, where he holds the all-time records for receptions (207), receiving yards (2,517), and touchdowns (13) over four seasons. His absence will be felt as Louisville gears up for the upcoming season, and fans will be eagerly awaiting his return to the field.
