Former Oregon Ducks’ star promoted to active roster with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A veteran cornerback continues to secure his place in the NFL. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced on Monday that they have promoted him to their active roster, just 15 days after he joined their practice squad.

Previously, he was released by the Carolina Panthers on October 18, as the team opted to focus on younger talent. During his time with the Panthers, he participated in six games, making a total of 20 tackles and breaking up one pass.

Over the course of his 10-year career, he has played in 119 regular-season games, starting 60 of them. He has notched nine interceptions, three of which he returned for touchdowns. He began his career as an undrafted free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2015 and has also played for the Los Angeles Rams and the Cleveland Browns. This veteran cornerback is Troy Hill.
