Earlier this month, Roc Bellantoni was officially named the outside linebackers coach for the Auburn football program, which was forced to make several staffing changes this offseason as coaches have departed for other jobs.

Bellantoni previously worked at Auburn under Bryan Harsin’s staff, and he spent the last two seasons as the defensive coordinator at Florida Atlantic. As soon as he arrived back on the Plains, Bellantoni jumped into the recruiting game and reached out to 4-star linebacker Jordan Campbell.

Campbell, from Opa Locka, Florida, is ranked as the No. 4 linebacker in the recruiting class of 2026 and is the No. 10 prospect out of the Sunshine State. He committed to Miami in November 2023, but is still keeping his recruitment open.

Friday the 4-star LB took his second visit to the Plains ahead of trips to Alabama and Georgia.

“When [Bellantoni] first got the job, me and him had a conversation about me getting up there and my film and everything,” Campbell said, per Auburn Rivals. “That means everything to me. That just shows a lot of interest in what they have and how much they believe in me being a football player and who I say I am.”

Campbell got a tour of the facilities, but the highlight of his trip was hearing about the defense that he would play in if he came to the Plans.

“My favorite part today was probably just showing us off what they can do for us, how they can make our body look in one year, how they can change my body in one year,” Campbell said. “Basically, just telling me about their scheme and their defenses and stuff and things that I’m comfortable with playing. They run like a 3-4. I’m comfortable playing, and I play the 3-3-5. They’re a 4-2 team. They’re really a multiple defense, and I’m used to playing in multiple defenses.”

The Tigers are hosting a big Junior Day recruiting event next weekend, and Campbell said it’s possible he could make a return trip to visit Auburn football for a third time.
