Fabrizio Romano says he’s really confident Newcastle will sign £15m player now

Newcastle United are wasting no time in this summer transfer window.

The Magpies are in motion already. They are in negotiations to sign Tosin Adarabioyo, and there have also been rumblings about a potential deal for Aaron Ramsdale.

Fabrizio Romano has been talking about the Magpies’ summer transfer plans on The Debrief. He has stated that he is really certain about one signing.

In fact, Romano asserts that he fully anticipates Lloyd Kelly to sign with Newcastle this summer.

Fabrizio Romano expects Lloyd Kelly to join Newcastle.

Romano told what he knew about Kelly and Newcastle.

“Tosin and Lloyd Kelly are two players Newcastle wants, and I fully expect Lloyd Kelly to join the team during the summer transfer window,” Romano stated.

Kelly a smart signing

Although he may not be the biggest addition Newcastle makes this summer, Lloyd Kelly might be the most astute.

The £15 million defender might be a fantastic addition to Newcastle’s roster.

The defender, who can play both left-back and center-back at a high level, can address two of the Magpies’ main problem spots right away.

Naturally, Eddie Howe is already familiar with the player from their time together at Bournemouth. Although he might not be a starter right away at Newcastle, he will offer much-needed depth to a club that has suffered greatly from injuries this year.

This summer, Kelly won’t be the only new defensive acquisition. Tosin Adarabioyo is also being pursued, as Romano reports, and even if the Fulham defender decides not to move to Tyneside, Newcastle is probably going to look for another center-back.

This early free agent addition could be essential to adding further talent to this squad, and St. James’ Park could have a very interesting transfer window.

Though not a particularly noteworthy addition, this will be a clever addition.
