A special group of Washington Capitals fans will receive an added surprise when they arrive for the home opener on Saturday night. Tom Wilson shared on his Instagram story Friday afternoon that the first 400 fans who enter through the Capital One Cardholder Entrance will be given a signed belt bag. The bag features his number 43 and includes logos for both the Capitals and Capital One.
“Hey @capitals fans! Tomorrow at the home opener, the first 400 fans to enter through the @capitalone Cardholder Entrance at 6th & F St. NW will get a belt bag signed by me,” Wilson posted. “Just another perk for cardholders at Capital One Arena!” The Capital One Cardholder Entrance is situated at 6th and F Street, giving early access to Capital One cardholders 15 minutes before general admission, which opens at 5:45 PM on Saturday night, just ahead of the game against the New Jersey Devils at 7 PM. Wilson is starting his 12th season with the Caps this fall and will be playing alongside offseason addition Pierre-Luc Dubois. This season marks Wilson’s first as a full-time alternate captain and his initial campaign on a seven-year, $45.5 million contract extension signed last summer. In the 2023-24 season, he finished fourth on the team in points with 35, including 18 goals and 17 assists. For fans who miss out on a signed belt bag, everyone in attendance will still receive a 2024-25 schedule magnet as a keepsake.
