Exciting News : Kentucky Guard Makes Life-Changing Announcement After Freshman Season
Collin Chandler was raised in the small town of Farmington, Utah, where he excelled as a shooting guard. He earned the title of Utah Mr. Basketball in his senior year, averaging 21.7 points per game, following an impressive junior season with a 22.6-point average.
A four-star prospect, Chandler committed to Brigham Young University, planning to play under head coach Mark Pope. He chose BYU over offers from schools such as Utah, Arizona, Stanford, and Utah State.
At the time of his commitment, Chandler was BYU’s top-rated recruit since 2013. His enrollment was set for 2024 after completing a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
But after returning from his mission, Chandler changed his commitment to Kentucky, where Pope had recently taken the helm as head coach.
Following his first season with the Wildcats, Chandler is now making life choices beyond basketball.
Hannah Clark recently posted a wedding photo of the two on social media, simply captioned “bride and groom.”

The couple reportedly got engaged in December during Kentucky’s trip to New York City, where Chandler proposed in Central Park. That trip also featured a game against Ohio State, which ended in an 85–65 loss for the Wildcats.
Kentucky wrapped up the season with a 24–12 record, making it to the Sweet 16 before being eliminated by Tennessee. They finished the year ranked No. 12 in the final Associated Press poll.
Chandler played in 30 games, averaging 10.4 minutes, 2.7 points, and one rebound per game. In the loss to Tennessee, he scored three points in 15 minutes on the court.
Looking ahead, head coach Mark Pope and his staff are reshaping the roster for next season, bringing in several new players. Among them are top recruits Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno.
Kentucky also strengthened its lineup by adding 7-foot-1 center Reece Potter, a transfer from Miami (Ohio), via the transfer portal.
