Oklahoma State wrestling dismisses Talented star from Cowboys after arrested

New Oklahoma State wrestling coach David Taylor has removed sophomore Jordan Williams from the team following his recent arrest.

“Jordan Williams is no longer part of the Cowboy Wrestling program due to a rules violation,” Taylor stated on Thursday morning. “We wish him well as he moves forward.”

Williams was arrested early Wednesday for public intoxication and malicious injury to property, as reported by Pistols Firing. This incident marks the first major disciplinary action taken by Taylor, who succeeded legendary coach John Smith in May.

A native of Tulsa and a graduate of Owasso High School, Williams was the Big 12 runner-up at 149 pounds and advanced to the round of 16 at the NCAA Championships during his redshirt freshman season last year.
