UAB Provides Update After Wide Receiver Was Stretchered Off with Devastating Injury on the Field During Game

 UAB wide receiver Brandon Buckhaulter was carted off the field after a scary hit in the 2nd quarter of the Blazers game Saturday afternoon.

Buckhaulter had caught a pass and began running upfield before his helmet was ripped off. After his helmet was ripped off, he was hit in the head by another defensive player and then driven into the ground.

Buckhaulter was placed on a stretcher and carted off the field.

Saturday night, UAB football provided an update on twitter regarding Buckhaulter, saying that he was on the plane and traveling home with the team:

Thank you for all the prayers for Brandon Buckhaulter. He is doing well and is on the plane home with us.
