Denver Broncos Receive Massive News on Dream Target in Latest PFF 2025 NFL Mock Draft

The Denver Broncos are in dire need of a new starting running back and could address it either in free agency or the draft. The draft class at the running back position is much deeper than the free agent class, so that seems like a better route for the Broncos to follow. In PFF’s latest seven-round mock draft from Josh Liskiewitz, Denver got lucky with top running back prospect Ashton Jeanty falling to them at No. 20.

“While tight end is a strong consideration at this pick, Jeanty may be too good to pass up if he falls to the Broncos. The Boise State back delivered one of the greatest college seasons of all time in 2024, setting a PFF-era record by forcing 157 missed tackles.” It is definitely possible this happens on draft night, but it almost feels too good to be true. Head coach Sean Payton recently revealed that the team is in need of a “joker” for the offense to reach new heights, and Jeanty fits that bill.

He is an explosive back who can help out in the receiving game, providing a new dynamic to the offense. Jeanty is one of the best running back prospects in recent memory and is very likely to go higher than No. overall, maybe even as early as No. 6 to the running back needy Las Vegas Raiders.

The Broncos are more likely to address their need for a joker at the tight end position with either Tyler Warren or Colston Loveland, but if Jeanty were to fall, they shouldn’t pass up on him. Jeanty being drafted by Denver at No. 20 is surely the best-case scenario.
