FAU WR Commit Flips to NC State
A talented wide receiver from the Sunshine State has decided to join NC State’s 2025 recruiting class, shifting his commitment from FAU.
The Atlantic wide receiver announced his change of allegiance, and a significant factor in his decision was State’s receivers coach, Joker Phillips, who was his primary recruiter.
“We were just talking about a lot of things,” the 6-foot-1.5, 175-pound athlete shared after receiving the Wolfpack offer last week. He noted that they discussed the team’s quarterback, CJ Bailey, and how he could play an impactful role at NC State. “It was good. He also talked to me about how I’d have a chance to play and make an impact there.”
He expressed enthusiasm about working with Phillips, saying, “I feel like he’s a straight-up coach. He’s cool. I’m excited to meet him and feel like we could develop a great relationship. He also told me he wanted me to talk to the head coach soon.”
Academics were also a crucial factor in his choice, as he already has a preferred field of study. “I want to major in business finance, so learning about the program they have is definitely going to be important,” he mentioned. “My dad definitely puts a big emphasis on academics and so do I, so again, it’s a big part.”
In November, the Wolfpack saw two receivers, Jamar Browder (Michigan) and Arrion Concepcion (Kansas State), decommit, but this new addition bolsters their efforts. He joins four-star prospect Jerel Bolder from Marshville (N.C.), enhancing NC State’s recruiting class for 2025 with two solid receivers.
The player recently received offers from FSU and Boston College and is having an impressive senior season with Atlantic High School. Over 11 games, he has tallied 57 receptions for 939 yards and 19 touchdowns, leading his team to a 10-1 record. Throughout his three-year varsity career, he amassed 162 catches for 2,728 yards and 49 touchdowns.
He is currently rated as a three-star prospect with an 86 score on 247Sports. The player’s name is Teddy Hoffmann.
