Dabo Swinney has announced another significant commitment from a skilled four-star defensive lineman
Clemson hadn’t received a commitment for the 2026 class in some time, following a couple of missed opportunities with their top prospects, but they made a move over the weekend.
Kameron Cody, a four-star recruit according to On3’s Industry Ranking, pledged his commitment to the Tigers on March 29.
He becomes the 13th commitment in the 2026 class, placing Clemson within the top five as of now, ahead of the official visit season taking place nationally this spring and summer.
Cody, a 6-foot-3, 280-pound defensive tackle, had scheduled visits to several schools, but according to Austin Hannon of 247Sports, he has canceled those plans after announcing his commitment to Dabo Swinney and the coaching staff.

“It feels like a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to be a Tiger. The family atmosphere I feel here reminds me a lot of my high school. Since my high school is an all-boys institution, the brotherly bond is even stronger. I see that same dynamic at Clemson, and it brings back memories of home—it truly feels like home,” he shared, according to The Post and Courier.
Cody is a significant addition to the program.
He is the first defensive line commitment for this class, a position that has gained great importance in recent years as many college teams are investing heavily in the transfer portal to build top-quality units.
Cody marks the eighth commitment for Clemson in March, making a strong statement by Swinney and his staff after starting this recruiting cycle slowly.
