Clemson Tigers Receive Strong message before National Signing Day
The Clemson Tigers’ football program is making a strong start in the 2026 recruiting cycle and has no intentions of slowing down.
Following a recent wave of commitments, the Tigers have surged into the top seven of the On3 recruiting rankings with a total of 12 commitments.
Recruiting is a continuous process, and experienced coaches know it’s crucial to take advantage of momentum. Clemson is aiming to do just that with one of the top recruits in the nation on March 23rd.
On that date, 2026 4-star cornerback Khary Adams will be making his first unofficial visit to Clemson, as reported by On3’s lead recruiting analyst Chad Simmons.
Adams, hailing from Towson, Maryland, is currently rated as the 30th best recruit in the country and is the fourth-best cornerback in the 2026 class according to On3’s composite rankings, the On300.
However, the Tigers face stiff competition, as this coveted prospect has plans for several other unofficial visits in late March and April.
After his visit to Clemson on the 23rd, Adams is scheduled to visit their in-state rivals, the South Carolina Gamecocks, on the 31st. He will then head west to see the Oregon Ducks on April 11th, wrapping up with a visit to the Michigan Wolverines on April 13th.

As of now, the Penn State Nittany Lions seem to have the upper hand in the race for Adams, with On3 assigning them a 25% chance of securing his commitment. However, it’s important to approach these predictions cautiously, especially with plenty of time remaining before National Signing Day.
Meanwhile, the Tigers will need to catch up if they want to attract Adams to their program. As previously noted, he has already demonstrated significant interest in both Penn State and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Adams has visited both universities multiple times and has at least one more visit scheduled for each. In contrast, this will be his first trip to Clemson.
Clearly, Dabo Swinney and his team have a lot of work ahead in this recruitment process, but one impressive visit could change everything.
If the Tigers manage to impress Adams during his visit, it will be fascinating to see how the situation progresses from there.
