JUST IN: Bengals Star Quarterback Officially back to 100% Months Ahead of 2024 Preseason

While there is chatter among fans regarding the possible exchange of wide receiver Tee Higgins, the main priority for the Cincinnati Bengals this offseason is the well-being of their star quarterback Joe Burrow. The team faced a setback last season when Burrow injured his wrist ligament in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens, leading to the derailment of their entire season. Following that unfortunate incident, any hopes of making it to the playoffs were instantly crushed for the Southwest Ohio team.

Shortly after the injury, Burrow has once more proven why he is considered the most dedicated player in the National Football League. Initially, there were worries that Burrow might be sidelined for part of the 2024 preseason or even the regular season. However, on Wednesday morning, Burrow was observed throwing footballs without any limitations.

When in good health, Burrow has shown that he ranks among the top players in the league, possessing a competitive drive that enables him to secure victories in seemingly unwinnable situations for his team. Up to now, Burrow’s most notable accomplishment in the NFL was leading Cincinnati to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1989 by defeating Kansas City in early 2022.

Next season, Burrow will face a fresh test as he navigates the challenge of building a top-tier offense without slot wide receiver Tyler Boyd and probably without standout target Higgins. Boyd, who is a free agent this season, is highly likely to join another team. Despite the absence of two key receivers he’s been accustomed to, Burrow will have another target in Mike Gesicki and the presence of two talented rookie receivers from the 2023 draft: slot receiver Charlie Jones and wide receiver Andrei Iosivas. In particular, Iosivas demonstrated potential in the previous season, securing four touchdown catches for the team, even with Burrow sidelined for the majority of the games.

It will be intriguing to observe if Burrow can sustain his exceptional performance in 2024 despite the absence of Boyd and Higgins. Nevertheless, if there’s anyone capable of achieving that feat, it’s this outstanding LSU alum.
