NFL announces discipline for Chargers-Raiders fight

The NFL issued penalties on Saturday in response to a fight that overshadowed the fourth quarter of last Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders.

No suspensions were given following the brawl, which led to Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer and Raiders defensive back Jack Jones being ejected for throwing punches. Both players received fines, along with Raiders defenders Maxx Crosby and Marcus Epps.

The altercation occurred late in the fourth quarter, shortly after the Chargers scored and secured a two-touchdown lead. It appeared to stem primarily from frustration among the Raiders players, especially Jones.

The Chargers and Raiders won’t face each other again until Week 18, so if any tensions remain, they’ll need to be put on hold for the time being.
