In the first inning of Wednesday’s game against the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper made headlines by hitting a milestone home run.
The blast traveled 439 feet and marked the 350th home run of Harper’s career—making him the youngest active player, at age 32, to reach that number.
But the home run stood out for more than just the milestone. It left the bat at a blistering speed of 110.8 mph, turning heads across the baseball world.

With his latest homer, Bryce Harper becomes just the eighth active player to reach 350 career home runs—joining an elite group that includes Giancarlo Stanton (434), Mike Trout (395), Paul Goldschmidt (370), Manny Machado (360), Freddie Freeman (353), Nolan Arenado (351), and Aaron Judge (351).
This was Harper’s second home run since the All-Star break, showing he’s heating up at the right time.

Earlier in the same inning, teammate Kyle Schwarber crushed a 409-foot home run of his own, driving in Trea Turner from first base and igniting the home crowd at Citizens Bank Park. The back-to-back power display from Schwarber and Harper gave the Phillies a quick 3-0 lead after just one inning.
