For many years, Milan Lucic was one of the most terrifying and unnerving players in the National Hockey League, particularly while he was with the Boston Bruins.
Before heading west to Alberta to play for the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames, where he slowed down significantly, he had a few successful seasons with the Bruins.
In the summer of last year, Lucic decided to accept a one-year contract with the Boston Bruins as a free agent, going back to the city that had given him so much success.
But things didn’t go as to plan. Why didn’t they do that?
Because, as it turns out, Lucic terrorizes and annoys people off the ice.
The NHL tough guy hasn’t been able to play any more games with the Bruins this season after being arrested for domestic abuse a few months ago.
More information about the case has recently surfaced because his wife, Brittany Lucic, revealed that Lucic choked him in front of their kids. Unfortunately, you read that correctly.
When Milan Lucic’s wife saw her friend’s name on his phone, she allegedly leaped on him.
When she questioned him about it afterwards, Lucic is said to have pounced to take the phone away from her.
Brittany, his wife, then staggered into a chair, where her husband attempted to choke her.
In front of Lucic’s spouse, kids, and a few friends, I reiterate everything.
Naturally, Brittany filed for divorce in April of last year, citing irreconcilable differences between the couple.
In the end, the 35-year-old forward’s wife declined to testify, so the case didn’t go to trial, but Lucic is not expected to play in the NHL again.
With the Bruins this season, he appeared in just four games and provided two assists.
